About the department - Core System Software   

We have come to an important step in the development of our new software-centric platform. In our part of the R&D, we code the base software on the Core Computer to refine computational power and to enable successful integration with applications. Our teams work in an agile manner organized according to SAFe to be able to quickly adjust to changing requirements.    

We work with an state-of-the-art embedded multiprocessor environment from Nvidia including hypervisors, Linux, QNX, Rust, Robot Framework, and other modern technologies.   

What you'll do

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Test Environment Engineer to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive hardware test environments. You will together with your team develop and build test environments for core system platform development. We currently operate 250+ HIL rigs and continuously looking for improvement in efficiency and cost. In addition to this, we are working several years in advance of the project to secure correct tet capabilities for next-gen platform development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware engineering, test automation, and system integration. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our hardware products.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Design and develop hardware test environments for new and existing platform generations
•    Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to define test requirements and specifications.
•    Integrate and configure test equipment, instrumentation, and hardware interfaces.
•    Troubleshoot and debug hardware and test setup issues.
•    Document test plans, procedures, and results comprehensively.
•    Continuously improve test methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Provide technical support and training to team members on test environments and procedures.

What you'll bring 

We believe you have a keen interest in the development of test environments. You have 10+ years of hands-on experience in HIL construction as well as experience as HIL developer. As a person you have a strong customer focus, and you love to be part of a team where we take own initiatives and take pride in your own and the team’s deliveries.   

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
•    Proven experience in designing and developing hardware test environments.
•    Strong understanding of hardware components, circuits, and systems.
•    Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
•    Knowledge of hardware communication protocols.
•    Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
•    Effective communication and collaboration skills.
•    Knowledge of reliability and environmental testing standards. 
•    Experience in the automotive industry.
