Europaskolan and Vasa International School of Stockholm are two independent Swedish primary and secondary school with an international heart located in the center of Stockholm. Europaskolan was founded in 1998 and has been authorized by the International Baccalaureate® (IB) to teach the PYP (Primary Years Program) and MYP (Middle Years program) since 2007. Vasa International School of Stockholm opened in 2007 under the name Europaskolan Vasastan and in 2011 opened an international stream within the school. We have relatively small class sizes and we maintain high standards for our students. With a prominent international profile, a welcoming approach to students, and a close-knit, ambitious staff, we strive to provide a challenging and inclusive education that encourages students to wonder, research, reflect, and act on their knowledge.

We have created a unique teaching position for this year that combines classroom teaching, cooking lessons, and outdoor teaching at our schools' archipelago location Eknäs Gård.


Monday and Friday are classroom days with a total of 6 lessons covering the home economics curriculum with 7th and 8th grade students. Tuesday and Wednesdays will be outdoor teaching days at Eknäs Gård where classes ranging from Pre IB (5 year olds) to PYP 6 (11 year olds) will come together with their teachers for a day of outdoor activities. These activities will be planned collaboratively with the class teachers. Thursday will often consist of cooking classes at our kitchen facility at Eknäs Gård.
It is a truly unique position for an educator who loves cooking, nature, and most of all kids!


As a home economics teacher and outdoor educator at Europaskolan and Vasa International School of Stockholm, you should be able to perform the following duties:


Create inspiring and well-scaffolded units of study for students of various ages and abilities.
Create an inspiring and well-structured learning environment in which the teacher is the clear leader of the classroom and where the students can thrive.
Create assessment tasks that are relevant for students and which are based on clearly established success criteria.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and create inspiring interdisciplinary learning activities for students.
Inspire students to appreciate and explore nature.
Be able to teach in English.
