Titel: Housing Assistant
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Serves as the Embassy's coordinator and advisor on real estate and related matters, including leasing and disposition of all leased real property. Responsible for obtaining leased properties as residential quarters for Americans assigned to the Embassy. Responsible for documentation and files of all Embassy actions regarding real estate property actions, including record of negotiations. Drafts waiver request cables as needed. Periodically surveys the housing market. Prepares documentation for and attends Housing Board meetings.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
a. Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Knowledge of computers and database applications is required.
b. Prior Work Experience: One-year experience as a real estate agent or other experience/knowledge of the local housing market required.
c. Post Training: On the job training.
d. Language Proficiency:
Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish is required.
e. Knowledge: Must have a good knowledge of local real estate practices and legal climate or the ability and desire to learn. Must understand property values and real estate market dynamics and be able to communicate this knowledge to the General Services Officer and the Housing Board. Must learn various agency regulations and procedures.
f. Skills and Abilities: Negotiating skill is essential in order to protect the interest of the USG while maintaining good business relationships with landlords. Tact when dealing with customers. Must have local Swedish B*** drivers license.
Part time, 20 hours per week, until October, 2010 when the position becomes full time, 40 hours per week. Temporary position until on or about April 30, 2011.
