HR Business Partner

This position is mainly located at our HQ (also called the Polestar Cube), in Gothenburg. We understand that work life balance isn’t easy, and of course welcome our emplyees to work flexible hours and from home a couple of days per week if needed. We believe in empowerment.



What you’ll do

As a HR Business Partner at Polestar you’ll work closely with business leaders and line managers to build their people capability, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives. You will be the point of people expertise for dedicated business areas, and work closely and collaboratively with the department managers with the goal to be a great place to work, where our people thrive and want to grow with us..

Examples of responsibilities and tasks included will be:

- Provide guidance on people practices such as building successful teams, development, reorganizations and succession planning

- Final decision in salary setting in collaboration with recruiting managers

- Responsible for Talent Reviews, Merit Reviews and more

- Bringing people expertise and developing solutions to help the business area deliver its strategy

- Influencing and building relationships with people around the business

- Acting as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches

- Questioning and challenging others to get to the root of people and business issues

- Coaching and providing feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency.



Who you are

It goes without saying that we are looking for someone with excellent people and communication skills. A networker who build long term professional relationships with trust, commitment and a high service level. Someone who can easily get a good understanding of the organization, its strategy and customers, as well as of the people challenges faced by the organization. You are flexible and able to embrace changes and ability to work proactively in a changing environment.

To be a match for this role we believe you have:

- A University degree within HR or relevant field
- More than five years of work-experience within HR, with demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Thorough knowledge of labor legislation
- Experience in working in a global, preferably fast growing environment.
- Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.
