Parker Hannifin is the global leader in motion and control technologies. In this influential Director level role you will provide HR leadership and a full range of HR services to all facilities in the region of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. As a member of the EMEA HR Leadership Team you will also play a key role in setting the vision and goals for HR and collaborating with other European HR Directors to bring about long lasting change and improvement.

As HR Director Scandinavia at Parker Hannifin, you will actively promote a culture where our people are continuously developed and empowered in all areas to achieve world class business performance. There are currently 8 Parker-locations across Sweden, Denmark and Norway with over 800 team members, supported by a network of HR professionals.
Responsibilities as HR Director Scandinavia
• As an active member of the Parker Sweden Board, define a business aligned HR strategy and goals for the region and lead a network of committed HR professionals towards delivery and implementing change.
• Ensure that a positive employee relations culture is maintained and manage a collaborative relationship with the Union Representatives Group.
• Lead and support business initiatives such as structural change projects, due diligence, business integration etc.
• Provide support, coaching and expert advice to HR team members staff to ensure effective, compliant, and strategically aligned decisions are made to support the needs of the business.
• Develop and manage appropriate HR systems, methods, policies and procedures in accordance with corporate policies and respective legal or environmental requirements.
• Lead country level talent management processes to build and strengthen internal development and succession for key leadership positions .
• Work with the Talent and Organisational Effectiveness Team to create and implement development initiatives to continuously improve the capabilities of employees.
• Champion a culture of engagement and empowerment through the Parker High Performance Teams initiative, and effective deployment of the annual employee engagement survey.
• Work with the Total rewards team to maintain and continuously improve our compensation and benefits programmes.
As HR Director you will also encourage and support our “Safety First” culture within the business.
Furthermore, you represent HR on relevant boards of directors, pension meetings and at EMEA HR leadership meetings. You will also support the achievement of Parkers WIN Strategy objectives through the provision of innovative, country-led HR initiatives.
This HR-role requires you to maintain a positive and constructive atmosphere with the employee representative bodies.
This role is located in Borås, Sweden, with travel to the other locations in Scandinavia. To some extent, it will be possible to work from home. Travel, primarily within Europe, is part of this role, approximately two to four times a year.
You report to the HR Director Northern Region.

To be successful in the position as HRD Scandinavia you have a solid experience from similar HR-work, a good business understanding and are trustworthy as a person. You have the ability to be both a leader and a coach. It is a great advantage if you have previous experience of working in an international company.
Required Skills/Abilities
• The ownership and drive to set challenging goals, inspiring and leading teams to achieve excellent results.
• Relevant experience in a senior HR leadership role in a large multinational organisation
• Experience of working in a matrix business environment is preferred
• University Degree to Bachelor level. A Master’s Degree would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish. Danish and Norwegian are advantageous
• Proven track record of successful regional experience in delivering HR services or managing projects impacting multiple countries
• Strong business acumen, able to use analytical skills to influence and drive decisions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at every level of the organisation
• Ability and willingness to travel
As a person, you are reliable, independent and results focused, with a strong positive energy. You have excellent social and communicative skills, with the ability to inspire, engage and influence at all levels. Furthermore, you are results focused and have the ability to create innovative and pragmatic HR solutions to business challenges and opportunities.
With an ability to structure and organize, you will successfully manage both strategic and operational perspectives to achieve business goals.
