We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our HR Team in Malta.
What you’ll be doing:
Onboarding:
-Serve as the primary contact post-recruitment to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
-Prepare and manage employment contracts and facilitate employee integration into BambooHR (HRIS).
-Oversee the onboarding packet, including personal details, police conduct, FS3, Social Security, and tax documentation.
-Register employees with Jobsplus, conduct inductions, share company information, and provide office tours.
-Conduct regular check-ins during the probation period and issue probation letters for successful completion.
Work Permit Processes:
-Oversee the entire work permit process, including new applications, renewals, revocations.
-Stay updated with current regulations and liaise with identita (Identity Malta) to ensure compliance.
Payroll Administration:
-Assist in gathering information from stakeholders for accurate payroll processing.
Employee Check-Ins:
-Conduct regular check-ins with employees, especially during their initial employment, to gather feedback and resolve concerns promptly.
Offboarding:
-Manage the entire offboarding process for departing employees.
-Conduct HR exit interviews to understand termination reasons and identify areas for improvement.
-Manage terminations through Jobsplus and handle related internal systems.
Employee Relations:
-Handle disciplinary matters, performance improvement plans, terminations, and offboarding processes with professionalism and empathy.
-Conduct HR exit interviews to gain insights into employee experiences.
Performance Review and Employee Satisfaction:
-Assist in the annual performance review process ensuring thorough and fair evaluations.
-Support the bi-annual Employee Satisfaction Survey, gather feedback, and work on action plans.
What you bring:
-Accuracy and strong attention to detail is essential.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
-Previous experience applying for and processing work permits with identita and knowledgeable regarding Maltese employment law is essential.
