Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resources Team as a HR Generalist, specifically supporting the Nordics region and will be based in Stockholm, Sweden. This position is critical in providing great customer support and driving human resources functional excellence.
This role will work very closely with all areas of Human Resources such as Total Rewards, HRIS, Payroll and Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate is self-driven with strong organizational skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Candidates with a strong sense of accountability and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
This position will report into the Human Resources Manager Northern Europe. This is an individual contributor role where a high degree of self-direction is required. This role will deal with confidential information and/or issues requiring discretion and independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line support to managers and employees in the field; respond to internal and external customers
Consulting and informing the Swedish Unions on required matters, creating protocols, attending meetings and ensuring a good partnership and relationship is maintained at all times.
Inform, guide and advise employees and managers on all areas of HR programs, policies and procedures relating to the employee life cycle (employment law, training, merit review cycles, employment contracts, career management, compensation, performance management, talent management, succession planning etc.)
Daily interaction with the HRIS systems. Ensure data integrity in the HRIS systems and provide reliable data, reports and analytics to support the region.
Organize and maintain HR department records and employment files
Ensure successful onboarding and induction for all new employees
Provide administration support for all HR activities including resourcing, attendance management, performance management, compensation and organisational change
Make recommendations for HR process improvements
Compose routine correspondence
Assist the HR team with special projects when needed and assist with the implementation of local and global HR programs and projects in a timely and consistent manner.
Define, update and maintain HR policies that are in line with global requirements and ensure that they are followed effectively.
Participate in the implementation and evaluation of HR tools processes and tools that support the global model/system requirements or help to simplify or automate current processes.
Requirements:
Certified HR Qualification
Demonstrable experience of handling Employee Life Cycle matters autonomously, from onboarding to contractual changes to offboarding.
Broad understanding on how to apply and optimize HR procedures in a global environment.
Good knowledge of Labour Law across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.
Union consultation experience
Excellent stakeholder management skills and is used to working in a matrix organization
Comfortable and confident working as a point person for staff, leaders and unions
Hands on mentality, structured and is able to work independently and as a strong team player as part of a wider International and global team
Drives to respond with speed and adheres to deadlines
Strong HR administrative experience
Reliable and tactful
Friendly, consultative, resilient and solution orientated
Excellent computer skills and MS Office
Previous experience with HRIS desired; Previous experience with Workday a plus
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Must possess the skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Detail oriented, pro-active, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, accuracy is essential
