DIS is looking for an HR Generalist with a passion for HR and experience of Swedish Employment Law. A person with 2-4 years of experience that would like to join a professional and fun international workplace where work matters.
We are a non-profit Study Abroad organization that hosts a diverse group of undergraduate students coming from over 250 universities across the US. We have sites in Copenhagen as well as in Stockholm. DIS provides semester, academic year, and summer programs taught in English, and offers high-impact learning experiences for upper-division undergraduate students from distinguished North American colleges and universities. The DIS office in Stockholm opened in 2016 and currently has + 10 staff and full-time faculty as well as app 50 part-time faculty. You will be working at the Stockholm office as the primary HR go-to person for the staff and faculty working there. You will also be responsible for some HR tasks for head office in Copenhagen.
The role is multifaceted within the area of HR and the candidate should like to solve complicated professional tasks as well as administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is proactive and is able to advise managers within all aspects of HR services, e.g.: management, recruitment, hiring and dismissals. The person will be part of a small HR team that is responsible for HR in Copenhagen as well as in Stockholm. The HR Generalist will be working closely together with all the dedicated employees in the Stockholm office, while at the same time having a tight cooperation with the office in Copenhagen where the rest of the HR team is located.

We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible and we will assess and talk to candidates on a rolling basis.
Handle the day-to-day contact with the employees in HR matters
Support and advice managers in HR related services e.g.: management, recruitment, hiring and dismissals
Work closely with the HR legal partner in Copenhagen on the legal area
Initiate and manage new projects
Handle all admin in regards of the staff (not payroll)
Develop and maintain the work environment process (SAM) for the Stockholm office
Participate in a rotating emergency phone shift for the students
Relevant academic education
2-4 years of experience in HR
Good planning skills
Good knowledge and experience of Swedish Employment Law (and an interest to learn some Danish Employment Law)
Excellent language skills in Swedish and English
Proactive
