Product Area Tube within Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) is specialized in seamless tubes and pipes and associated parts. Sandvik leads the world within the field of tubular products made of advanced alloys and of stainless special steels.
Product area Tube has recently developed and launched a new strategic direction and is facing an exciting journey ahead with main focus on safety and strategic growth in selected segments. We are now looking for a talented and experienced leader, who wants to take on these challenges and continue the development of the global HR function, as HR Manager for the product area. The location for this position is Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As HR Manager you will be a member of the management team of Product Area Tube as well as the HR Management Team of SMT. You will lead the HR function globally with a number of HR Business Partners reporting directly to you. You work actively with management team development and you support and enhance the performance of your employees. You also represent the EHS questions in the management team of the product area.
Your main tasks include:
- Running the HR function globally, including supporting and enhancing the development of your employees
- Responsibility for developing and driving the key HR processes such as of talent management, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, SEmp, people development and training programs
- Expediting and developing union contacts within the Sandviken site
The position involves travelling.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in HR or a similar field. You have several years' experience in change management and strategic HR, as well as of previous global roles. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal. Experience from the manufacturing industry is advantageous.
For this position, you must be able to build and maintain a network of contacts on all levels i the organization. You can take the initiative and have the ability to work on both a tactical and strategic level, and you have the courage to challenge the way we work and think. Additionally, you are interested in being involved in the development of the business and have a talent for seeing possibilities for improvements. You give constructive feedback where needed, and you take feedback with an open mind.
The position places major demands on your leadership skills. You are perceptive and able to create a trusting environment for collaboration, while inspiring and motivating your co-workers to work with a performance-driven commitment to reach the business' goals. You also have a proven track record of implementing changes.
