By nurturing our people, culture, and ways of working, we're cultivating our most valuable assets – our people have brought us to the position we enjoy today, and they continue opening doors to future success. We’re now looking for an HR Manager to lead our Human Resources work, both on a national level and locally at our site in Gimo.
Gimo is a great place to work, just a short stop from cities like Uppsala, Stockholm and Gävle. Our production site has been officially recognized as a “Lighthouse” by the World Economic Forum – which means that it’s a world-class production unit that deploys a wide range of Industry 4.0 technologies and at scale, while keeping humans and sustainability at the heart of innovation. About the job
In this role, you’re an important link between our managers, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders, keeping a unified direction within HR in Gimo and across our Coromant sites. By working close to our employees and managers, you ensure support, communicate strategic initiatives and process updates. Coaching, advising and guiding your coworkers and other internal stakeholders in subjects surrounding HR, you also raise awareness of HR topics and work proactively to implement various initiatives at all levels.
Your work in Gimo includes development and implementation of local HR strategies according to the business needs and our overall strategy. You lead the local HR team and union representatives, ensuring that our HR strategy is implemented effectively within budgets and complying with all regulations, laws, and employment standards. As a part of Gimo’s management team, you contribute to the development of business strategies as well as other strategic initiatives.
On a national level, you lead the Swedish HR team – coordinating the HR work within the country. You drive our organizational development, common activities and projects connected to global initiatives, country policies and legislations. You ensure compliance with Swedish labor law and collective agreements on all our sites – where you also provide support for our international brands. Union stakeholder management is also a part of your role, and together with our HR Specialist within Labor Law and Employee Relations, you’re leading union negotiations in close collaboration with our VP of HR.
About you
We’re looking for an ambitious and communicative HR manager with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a similar field. You have a solid background within HR and experience from a previous managerial position. Broad knowledge of strategic HR and country labor legislation is required for success in this position, as is experience from change management and leading a changing organization. As we interact locally on a global stage, you have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both verbal and written.
We’re genuinely interested in your passion and personality, which is characterized by a strong sense of integrity and a manner that invites trust. You handle and resolve issues, deliver results, encourage improvements, and have a strong interest in – and thorough understanding of – the industrial business. Acting as a role model for the organization in relation to people management is a vital part of your work and, with extensive coaching and facilitating skills, you initiate and manage transformation and change processes from an inclusive perspective.
Balancing being an active part of a management team as well as having the confidence to challenge the same when you find it necessary is a key to your success. You’re also a passionate networker, using your effective communication skills and creative mind to interact with stakeholders and build long-lasting and open relationships.
We believe that our diversities lead to a successful business environment, and we’re looking forward to meeting you. Meanwhile, if you want to know more about Sandvik Coromant, we recommend a visit on our website, LinkedIn or Facebook page.
