HR Service Manager

You will be part of a new global organization - Global Business Services (GBS), which is the service partner to the entire Essity delivering services within Finance, Human Resources, Workspace and Master Data. About the Role
The HR Service Manager at Essity is a global role responsible for delivering all services defined and agreed, to internal customers within North-East. The right candidate will manage all agreed HR services in the area of responsibility. Typically, these include one or more of employee administration and payroll & time. The role is also responsible for managing and delivering, in an effective and cost-efficient way agreed HR services globally or regionally, ensuring that all HR services, systems, procedures and reporting comply with relevant regulations. The HR service manager is also responsible for measuring, following-up and implement continuous improvements in the management team.
The role contributes to development of new and/or improved services, tools and processes through participation in projects and initiatives. Accountable for budget and to secure good cost management. Responsible to secure close cooperation between the different organizational units across the matrix organization. Responsible to establish and maintain an effective communication with customers and key stakeholders, within matrix and own organization.
Who you are
You are passionate about leading, driving and developing people and business on a day-to-day basis. To be successful in the role you need to have a strategic mindset together with a clear hands-on approach. You need to be able to switch easily between the two. You also need to be able to proactively drive continuous changes.
University degree or similar in relevant area
Significant knowledge and experience level in the service area (Payroll & Time and employee administration)
Excellent Management skills with proven leadership capabilities - managing sizable and remote teams
Fluency in English, written and verbal
Experience and knowledge in digital tools and ways of working
Knowledge in Service Management is an advantage while experience in leading a service organization is preferable
Ability to travel
Project and change management experience is required

Furthermore, to be successful in this role, you need to have a high sense of stakeholder management, both internally and externally. You will also be part of and lead projects, this requires you to work cross-functionally and in an efficient way drive and implement new processes. You will be managing and leading a team of regional HR Service Managers, which means you need to be able to coach and guide other managers in their work.
What you will do
Responsible for delivering all services defined and agreed, to internal stakeholders within one or more region.
Manage all agreed HR services in the area of responsibility. These include employee, payroll & time administration.
Ensure that organization and employee related records are accurate, accessible and secure and in compliance with relevant privacy regulations.
Contributes to development of new and/or improved services, tools and processes through participation in projects and initiatives.
Accountable for budget and to secure good cost management within own responsibility area.
Accountable for stakeholder satisfaction and continuous efficiency improvements in own area.
Responsible to secure close cooperation between the different organizational units across the matrix organization.
Responsible to establish and maintain an effective communication with stakeholders, within matrix and own organization. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the team.

Additional information
For this position we see that the right candidate will be based in our Gothenburg office. However, we are open for other locations close to our other sites in Europe – Ismaning or Dunstable eg. Since your stakeholders will be around the world, some travel will be required, but most of the time we connect via virtual meetings.
