We are looking for a HR professional to manage our Swedish Sea Personal Team. We offer a challenging and interesting job in a successful company as well as stability of employment and numerous possible career paths.
About the position
As our HR Specialist you will become our employer’s representative and provide high-quality support in personnel matters to our Captains and to other key personnel onboard our ships. You will handle and manage a wide range of HR tasks.
We employ over 300 people onboard our Swedish flagged ships which operate mainly between Malmö and Travemünde. With a proactive, independent and positive can-do attitude you become part of our small HR team in Malmö and part of our larger Finnlines Group HR organization mostly operating out of Helsinki. Together we offer HR-support and management for our staff off 1500 employees.
Responsibilities
You have many independent and demanding responsibilities of which the main ones are
- Recruitment as big part of your work
- Giving support and guidance to leaders onboard regarding labuor law and collective bargaining agreement related matters
- Development and implementation of our procedures and policies
- Problem-solving
- Monitoring of sea personnel’s qualifications and competence
- Coordination of training
- Collaboration with our important stakeholders such as Unions, Occupational Health Care service provider, Maritime Schools
- Handling of payroll administration matters
The tasks you perform will be assigned dependent on your level of knowledge, strengths and expertise and we will offer you more responsibilities and possibilities to learn and grow as you advance in your career.
Your profile
We are looking for a HR specialist/professional who has already has a track record or is ready to take on more responsibility and face new opportunities and challenges.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HR administration and recruitment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Independent and entrepreneurial way of thinking and working
- Interest in taking over and managing new responsibilities
- Experience of collective agreements & employment legislation
- Fluency in Swedish and ability to use English as working language
- Experience from shipping business (not compulsory)
