JOB PURPOSE
The job is a combination of three different areas where every area has a logical connection to each other.
Human Resources
The primary responsibility of the HR part is to guide and support managers in HR related issues. The role is responsible for translating the business and plant strategy into aligned HR plans and actions to improve business performance. The role also includes being the plants contact person inside the VBC HR community. Secure a good cooperation with our unions through a constant dialogue as well as more formal sessions e.g. IK-meetings is also in the scope of this role. This role is also responsible for support and coordination of the plants Health & Safety work.
Strategy
The role includes to support the plant manager and the management team in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining our strategy and business plans. Both overall for the plant as well as the breakdown in the different areas. The role also includes to be responsible for VBUd´s Business Management Manual (BMM) and make sure it is updated, maintained, and developed.
Communication
Responsibility for communication within the plant and internal VBC. Mainly regarding strategy and plans, ongoing activities but also general information to our employees. This requires a high stylistic competence.
This role is a part of the plants management team and requires high interpersonal skills as well as a good holistic view.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and drive our overall factory objectives long and short term from a people perspective
Taking an active role and responsibility in Uddevalla management team, with a business mindset
Coaching & mentoring management in HR issues
Site responsible – main contact for local supplier of company health care
Site responsible – main contact for our PPE and consumables supplier Fastenal
Operative responsible and drive competence development and workforce planning including partners/suppliers to deliver these services
Operative responsible and driver of talent management and recruitment
Drive and support labour relations and relations with schools and the local community
Communication on Violin, newsletters, Dib´s, weekly information letters etc.
Support Plant Manager, Management team members and Managers in their strategic work
In addition to above, this role will also support our operations in Säffle on demand.
