Leading and managing safety assurance and compliance, enabling continuous improvement in operational safety performance.
Maintaining an ongoing awareness of Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and proposed legislation, codes of practice, and activity in EHS matters at all times.
Demonstrate a strong ability to influence management and employees, contractors and sub-contractors regarding all Health, Safety and Environmental issues and risks, whilst overseeing the production and delivery of site briefing material.
Foster strong relationships, communicating confidently with our leading clients on changes within the business and liaise with Senior Managers to ensure that inductions, training, EHS management systems and appropriate information is given to relevant employees and contractors.
Provide guidance to workers, helping in the preparation of contract-specific work EHS Plans and task briefings, develop Risk Assessments to identify and advise on adequate control measures to ensure identified risks are brought down to an acceptable level for accident and negative environmental impact prevention.

Responsibilities
Review Supplier HSE documentation prior to start of work and during execution including method statements, risk assessments, HSE management system procedures and HSE Plan.
Guide and support on HSE strategy, priorities, HSE Improvement Plan and other HSE related matters to the Fabrication Team.
Maintain Synergi-structure to hold all relevant HSE data.
HSE inspections of supplier fabrication sites to evaluate supplier's compliance with Employer's HSE Requirements in contract and supplier work procedures.
Assist Fabrication Management with Synergi HSE reporting according to reporting guidelines and related follow-up (root causes, actions).
Participate in and follow up on incident investigations.
Participate in Supplier meetings (regular HSE meetings, HIRA, FAI, TOC, ROC drills etc.) where relevant.
Support Supplier HSE initiatives and campaigns.
Produce internal yard-specific HSE guidelines and safety induction.
Verify Supplier Monthly reporting and follow-up on any concerns.
Perform and report Operational HSE Assessment of Supplier and report back into the line.
Produce bi-weekly HSE update and distribute to project stakeholders.
Requirements
IOSH course or NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to certificate level or similar.
Relevant experience within mature industrial manufacturing, ideally within fabrication.
Experience within QHSE Management.
Experience within Incident investigations and Root Cause Identification.
Knowledge of local Health and Safety Regulations required.
Valid training required in: Work at Height (e.g. GWO) and First Aid.
