We are looking for a HSE Advisor to support our Kårehamn Offshore wind farm in the Borgholm Kommun on the island of Öland, the role will also contain support to RWE´s operational Offshore fleet.

The site
The Kårehamn Offshore Windfarm is located in the Swedish part of the Baltic Sea, approximately 7 km away from the coastal town Kårehamn. RWE Renewables (formerly E.ON Climate & Renewables) invested 120 million Euro in the construction and operation of the 48 MW wind park. The wind farm was connected to the grid in 2013 after a construction period of 19 months. It consist of 16, 3 MW Vestas V112 wind turbines.
Kårehamn site support
The HSE Advisor is responsible for providing independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the site management on all health, safety and environmental issues, actively participate in and promoting a high standard of health, safety and environmental awareness and culture at the operational offshore wind farm Kårehamn.
Maintenance of HSE risk registers in relation to Kårehamn. Ensuring Swedish legal HSE requirements are considered, amongst other by liaising with the regulatory authorities, and compliance is evaluated on a regular basis.
Proactively support and advise line/project management in meeting their HSE responsibility (incl. but not limited to risk assessments, operational instructions, procedures) with technical, organizational and procedural as well as compliance advice. Deliver on annual goals and targets.
Conduct regular site visits at the service base, conduct HSE inspections on- and offshore.
Support of the Offshore operational fleet:
Produce, review and update health safety and environment related documentation required by the site and for RWE Offshore Wind´s operational fleet
Conduction of HSE audits and HSE inspections in offshore windfarms in Europe (currently UK, Germany, Denmark)
Implement fleetwide HSE standards




Requirements For The Role
Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering/safety engineering or similar.
The ideal candidate will have a higher safety qualification and ideally will also hold a higher qualification level in an environmental discipline.
They will ideally hold an audit qualification such as ISO 45 001/14 001 internal auditor, along with an Incident root cause analysis qualification.
Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training certification would be desirable.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as HSE professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors.
Be able to demonstrate a flexible, practical and proactive approach to managing operational HSE challenges.
Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System.
Self-initiative, reliable, systematic and proactive with a customer orientated approach.
Mobile, able to work under pressure, team-oriented.
Very good written and spoken Swedish and English is a must, further foreign languages are an advantage.
Good health, with general all round fitness to work in an offshore environment with the ability to undertake the mandatory medical checks and tests according to legal requirements ‘AFS 2019:10 Medicinska kontroller i arbetslivet’.
Driving licence is essential.
The role will be based on the site office at Kårehamn with the possibility to conduct mobile work or home office on 2-3 days per week.
International travel will be expected in this role.
