About the Job:
Alfa Laval is a global company where safety is on top of the agenda and everyone’s focus. In this position, you will drive strategic and operational work both independently and together with the rest of the local HSE team.
This role holds a range of responsibilities focused on ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. Key tasks include incident analysis, trend identification, and the implementation of preventive measures. The position requires comprehensive incident follow-up and reporting, along with the maintenance of full work environment-related statistics.
A critical aspect involves developing and maintaining a robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system, adhering to SAM and ISO45001 standards. Compliance with work environment legislation and HSE requirements is a central focus.
It also includes providing expert support to line management, particularly in operational work environment accountability. This involves guiding the creation and maintenance of a safe working environment. Active participation in interacting with authorities, ordering measurements, and conducting analyses contributes to a thorough understanding of the workplace.
Administrative duties cover chemical handling and iChemistry support, emphasizing strict adherence to protocols. The role also involves initiating and supporting risk assessments, crucial for proactive HSE management.
Conducting training sessions in the work environment is a significant responsibility, fostering a safety-conscious workforce. Active involvement in continuous improvement projects aligns with preventing injuries and occupational diseases, in line with the organization's Health & Safety and Environmental Strategy.
Participation in Alfa Laval's HSE network for Sweden is a key commitment, contributing to a collaborative approach to HSE best practices and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
What you know
The ideal candidate for this role possesses a comprehensive understanding of Swedish work environment legislation. They are adept at navigating various computer systems, demonstrating a familiarity with diverse technological platforms. Additionally, the candidate brings valuable experience in leading risk assessments, showcasing their proficiency in evaluating and mitigating potential risks within the work environment.
Your educational background should be academic studies within Health, Safety & Environment. You have practical experience working with HSE and know your stakeholder management where you can communicate with all levels of an organization.
You are fluent in both Swedish and English.
