Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a business unit covering the Nordic countries, the UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltic States, Germany, Benelux and Eastern Europe. With our headquarters in Hamburg, we are responsible for the sales function, project, installation and service of wind farms in all these regions. The HSE department focuses on making the world a better place and protecting it for future generations. To this end, we have experts working for Vestas in the areas of safety, the environment, corporate social responsibility and security all over the world.
We are looking for an HSE Field Support to primarily support our projects in northern Sweden. The location of the service is in Östersund. HSE Field Support will report to Team Lead for HSE Nordic. The team also consists of HSE Field support for southern Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.
Responsibility
You will be responsible for supporting our service organization in meeting their customer requirements in northern Sweden. Communication, adaptation and awareness of safety are key words for the role.
The service is office-based, but also includes field activities (~50%) to our facilities and warehouses. The role involves climbing the turbines which is why we see that you should not have problems with heights. In addition, your data will include:
Provide expertise and support on HSE-related matters from our service organization
Attend customer meetings regarding HSE issues
Create HSE documentation for Swedish serviceites
Implementation of local legal requirements and strategies
Follow-up of subcontractors, including making risk assessments of the work
Provide expertise and support in incident investigations as well as root cause analysis
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we are confident that you are someone with relevant work experience or a recent graduate in the relevant field, such as health and safety, risk management or technology. See general qualifications below:
In-depth knowledge of sustainability standards and concepts, processes, procedures and legal requirements regarding HSE
Knowledge of hazard assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation and root cause analysis
Knowledge of the development/implementation of processes and procedures, including comprehensive HSE plans, as well as the conduct of inspections and audits
Experience in creating HSE documentation
Previous experience of working with clients is an advantage
High competence in Swedish and English
