HSE Manager
The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager is primarily responsible for the design, development, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, safety for the H2GS Boden Project. The HSE Manager will develop and lead a team to make a safe work environment at the construction site and ensure that the construction activities are carried out in a safe manner. The role and associated team will advise and assist in all issues concerned with Health, Safety and Environment at the site.
Requirements:
Making a safe work environment a priority.
Substantial previous working experience in major capital projects in the heavy industry, preferable major mini-mill capital projects.
Approx. 10 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment and in heavy industries, of which at least 5 should be in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to recruit and build a strong team.
Interpersonal skills:
Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
Very strong ability to cooperate, collaborate, and work effectively in a complex multi-team environment with sometimes competing views and overlapping responsibilities.
Strong leadership skills.
Advanced ability to communicate effectively.
