Main tasks and responsibilities
Within Site Management Team, support the safe execution of the project, in accordance with applicable:
local HSE laws and regulations
Client / Project specific rules (incl. Project HSE plan, Employer's requirements, etc.)
Review the documentation provided by teams and contractors (e.g. HSE plans, training certificates, equipment inspection certificates, etc.) and check compliance with the applicable requirements
Hold site induction sessions for teams and contractors assigned to the project site
Participate actively in the daily site organization:
Support the Site Manager(s) for the daily morning briefing, give the daily toolbox talk
Participate in the daily progress and coordination meetings:
Highlight the HSE topics and deviations raised or observed during the working day, propose and discuss improvement actions
Provide advice regarding the safe execution of the upcoming activities
Support the implementation of the project specific Permit to Work system
Perform site visits (Safety Walks & Talks)
Conduct or support site inspections / audits (e.g. joint visit with Project / Site management, joint visit with Client HSE representative)
Support the Project Manager and the Site Manager for the reporting and investigation of HSE events and observations
Report on a weekly and / or monthly basis (depending on project specific requirements) HSE metrics, including:
HSE events and observations (type, number, list, status)
Hours worked on site
Work organization
Workplace: project site, desk at site compound
Key competencies
Reminder: Working at height, using PPE for fall protection (incl. harness, lanyards, fall arresting devices, etc.), is necessary.
Medical fitness for works at height is required.
Be aware that the manufacturers of PPE for fall protection define, in operating instructions, limits applicable to the PPE user.
Technical skills
Country-specific HSE laws and regulations, including (non comprehensive list):
Health and Safety at Work: site management and coordination, contractor management, works at height, lifting / rigging / handling, electrical hazards, mechanical hazards, Machinery Directive / Machinery compliance, etc.
Environment: wind energy project specific requirements, works near utilities and networks (e.g. underground or overhead facilities, KLIC), waste management
ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, ISO 14001, VCA standards
Methods: risk analysis / assessment, incident investigation
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Languages
English: fluent
The resources assigned to site may come from various countries. English is the common language on site.
Most of the documentation or IT tools used on site will be available in English (e.g. reporting tools).
Ability to prepare presentations (e.g. toolbox talks), as well as extensive reports (e.g. participation in incident investigation reports).

Education & Training
Bachelor's or Master's degree
H&S training or certification: NEBOSH
Safety relevant training courses (if the person is not trained, training costs charged to the consulting company):
Valid GWO safety training: working at height (pre-condition: medical fitness for work at height), first-aid, fire awareness, manual handling
Work experience
Minimum 3-5 years in similar job positions or in HSE supervision / coordination on construction sites involving heavy lifting operations, ideally in wind energy sector
