HSE Superintendent
Floatel International is an International Group established in 2006 with management located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Floatel operate a modern fleet of accommodation and construction support vessels (flotels) for the oil and gas industry in the world. The fleet is designed to meet the increased demands set by new challenging projects in deep water and hostile environments. Floatel International strives to provide superior living standard and support services.
We are looking to employ a HSE Superintendent to our office in Gothenburg who is interested to work in an international and challenging environment. It is a 6-month employment with great chances of a permanent employment.
The person will be part of Floatel International’s HSEQ Department and work in close cooperation with the rig team.
We are looking for someone who understand the shipping industry and the health, safety and environmental demands associated with the business. You have the ability to plan and prioritize work in a structured way, even in stressful situations. You are service minded, thorough, quality-conscious and has a "business mindset". You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Responsible for supporting the OIM and Crew with HSE matters.
o Ensure that HSE procedures and safe working practices are in place, implemented and adhered to, in order to fulfil the HSE related Objectives and Targets set by Floatel International with respect to persons, environment, asset and the business.
o Responsible for the performance of HSE activities towards client and for ensuring that HSE parts of the Contract are planned, organised and executed in accordance with Client contract, regulatory requirements and established procedures.
o Responsible for preparation of HSE plans and HSE reports and other HSE related documentation.
o Responsible for preparation of HSE reports to local authorities.
o Responsible for the Emergency Response documentation, as well as updating of all details, so it reflects the current contact information in the Project, including updating vessel specific and project specific emergency documentation in the emergency response room.
o Ensure the promotion of awareness of both the Company’s and Client´s HSEQ requirements throughout the organisation.
o Coordinate, prepare and maintain Safety Cases and Project Compliance Plans (when applicable).
o Responsible for compliance verification towards local regulatory requirements, including identification of new or amended requirements.
o Coordinate and participate in Vessel-related Audits and Inspections.
o Perform and assist in hotel inspections and catering audits.
o Ensure exchange of experience between Vessels regarding catering.
o Follow up the handling and close-out of Vessel-related Non-Conformities, Findings and Actions.
o Review and follow-up of Safety Observations registered in the information database.
o Supporting the Business Acquisition Section with HSE parts of prequalification, bidding and contract activities.
o Any other relevant FI assignment as instructed by the person(s) specified under Section 2, regardless of if it is within the ordinary responsibility area or not, including matters connected to other parts of the organisation.
Qualifications:
o Min. 2 years of marine or offshore experience.
o Applicable experience from working with local legislation.
o 1 - 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
o Have an Engineering (Mechanical/Naval), Nautical Education.
o Good to Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
o Experience with word processing in Word, Excel and Power Point.
o Experience from HSE Audits and Incident Investigations.
o Able to interact and communicate well with all level of management and personnel, and communicate well with clients and authorities.
o Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in teams in a changing environment.
o Personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative.
