Nouryon has an outstanding opportunity for an HSE&S Specialist in Stenungsund (SE). The position is part of R&D, and the Performance Formulation Business. The HSE&S Specialist is a critical role within the Site Management team for Innovation Center in Stenungsund to implement policies and strategies together with the Site management team as well as the department managers and employees to ensure full legal compliance and continuous improvement within all areas of Health, Safety, Security and Environment.
Main responsibilities
Establish a HSE&S culture of functional and operational excellence, engagement, continuous improvement, accountability and commitment to company values and behaviors in line with Nouryon HSE Common Platform.
Delivery of company HSE improvement programs, including NAT, behavior based safety and process safety management programs which support high performance culture for HSE&S.
Be an engaging trainer for HSE&S to support the progress in safety awareness among employees, managers and contractors on site
Actively participating to develop policies and objectives for Innovation Center Stenungsund regarding Health, Safety, Environment and Security
Pro-actively work with occupational health and set the strategy for local Occupational Health service provider
Ensure a systematic approach for Facility and HSE departments to look for and respond effectively to hazards on site
Support to define procedures to ensure site Innovation Center Stenungsund acts in compliance with all legislation, regulations and Nouryon Directives and Procedures
Ensure that Site Innovation Center is acting with a high level of Process Safety and according to the European Seveso-legislation Ensure a high level of HSE adherence of external parties through Contractor Management.
Support to define procedures, equipment and trainings for Emergency response and act as member of Site Emergency leadership team for Innovation Center Stenungsund
Cascade the strategy of HSE Common Platform to motivate all departments on site effectively and ensure appropriate alignment of focus
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you have strong ability to communicate in a professional manner towards all stakeholders and the ability to build successful and long-term relationships. You are confident in your own expertise and deliver results while maintaining a high quality in your work. You also possess the ability to work efficiently as well as independently and you know how to prioritize in your daily work.
We also see that you have:
Master’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent
Extensive knowledge regarding HSE regulations management systems and standards within HSE
Fluent in English and Swedish communication skills, both in writing and verbally
5 years of experience from the chemical process industry
