We are a small team in a large global HSSE organization. Together with us, you will be part of our Nordic HSSE team based in Aarhus, with reference to Head of HSSE Nordic this role is key to the deployment and support of operating the HSSE area in APMT at our terminal in Gothenburg.
Key responsibilities:
Among other things, you will be responsible for supporting your colleagues ensuring that the work is carried out in a fully responsible manner and in accordance with applicable legislation as well as other compliance requirements within the area.
Your main tasks will be:
Independently, and with the involvement of the organization, to drive the HSSE agenda.
Have regular contact, dialogue and report to both local and national authorities and facilitate visits and audits related here to.
Support the operation and collaborate with Skyddskommitté/Union.
ISPS and Security responsible as the terminal is covered under this legislation.
Prevent accidents and develop preventive workflows and processes.
Coach and support significant incident investigation activities across business unit to ensure effective incident investigation processes are applied to understand immediate and underlying causes.
Monitor investigation improvement actions delivery to prevent recurrences and disseminate learning.
Support and coach local business unit to utilize Fatal5.com for incident report management, ensuring consistently high-quality data entry and timely responses to insurance claims.
Ensure sustained focus on safety. Through coaching and advice, guide managers and their teams in the adoption of best practice safety leadership. Support with development and implementation of training plans, competency, and capability requirements for colleagues to enhance awareness, engagement and capability
Deliver and implement department strategies and key corporate initiatives to drive continuous improvement
We are looking for
Your educational background is not paramount, but you may have a Maritim background, experience from oil/gas industry, production industry or the like. The most important thing is that you have broad experience with the HSSE area such as Risk Assessments, Incident investigations, Emergency Response Plans, have in-depth knowledge of legislation in the field of Safety, Environment and Occupational Health.
You are hands-on, outreach and good at collaborating, just as you are communicative and make things happen by working systematically and solution oriented. In addition, you know the challenge of driving change and creating new processes to get habits translated into new behaviors and new workflows. Your impact and persistent approach make it natural for you to set the direction and drive development within the HSSE area. Finally, you communicate professionally in Swedish and English in writing and speech, both internally and externally. It is preferable if you are familiar with Lean Tools such as Gemba, Problem Solving and 5S.
The position is classified under The Protective Security Act and will be subject to background controls.
