Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S) is expanding its services within the offshore wind industry by taking over full technical and commercial management of four Offshore Supply Vessels in the third quarter of 2021. The vessels are 80-90 meters long, designed for Accommodation, Cargo Transfers, W2W, Survey and ROV Operations.
We are now looking for a Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality Officer (HSSE-Q Officer), to join our team to handle the management for the new Offshore Supply Vessels. As HSSE-Q Officer in N-O-S you will work in close cooperation with Vessel Management Team (VMT) members and lead all related HSSE-Q matters in assigned projects. You are responsible for developing and fostering a high safety culture and healthy working environment in order to secure safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Your tasks
Lead and provide direct hands on HSSE-Q support to our organisation with focus on our crew
Train our crew in HSSE-Q related procedures and systems
Develop and implement our Safety Management System onboard our vessels as well as monitor and follow up on implementation
Analyze customer specific HSSE-Q requirements and ensure that we meet customer expectation
Perform audits and inspection onboard our vessels and in our offices
Prepare and conduct OVID / IMCA inspections
Participate and lead investigations of incidents and secure that adequate corrective actions are implemented
Participate in client HSSE-Q meetings when needed
Budget planning and follow-up of KPIs



Your Profile
The ideal candidate has a ship officer education and experience of working onboard in a senior officer position, preferably in the offshore wind, oil and gas or tanker industry alternatively has an QA education with good knowledge within the offshore industry.
You have solid experience of HSSE-Q work where experience from a similar role at a shipping company is an advantage. You have experience and good knowledge of the industry's regulations and standards when it comes to customer, classification and authorities. Experience and knowledge of the OVID and IMCA standard is an advantage.
To succeed in this role, you are solution oriented and are motivated by finding solutions to different issues that are not always planned. You are not afraid to make decisions and have the ability to succeed in motivating others. To thrive in this position you also need to enjoy collaborating with your colleagues onboard our vessels as well as colleagues from other departments. You are fluent in a Scandinavian language and have strong English skills.
You will report to our Project Manager SOV. Frequent travels to our vessels, customers and subsidiaries will be an important part of your role. You will be part of the N-O-S duty schedule.
Terms of employment
This position will start as soon as possible. You will be based at our office in Gothenburg, Sweden or Kastrup, Denmark. This is a permanent employment with a probationary period of six months.
