ABB Power Grids (Grid Integration Service) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to assess and anticipate HR-related needs. In this role you will be a key member of the PG GI Service leadership team and a proactive consultant to business leaders. Employing almost 800 people. Your responsibilities
Taking ownership of strategic management within your area by setting and implementing people strategy in the PG GI organization in line with defined standards, including culture, competence, and organization.
Overseeing capability planning with regard to people and organizational structures, in addition to ensuring that positions are adequately staffed to meet or exceed annual business targets.
Designing and implementing organizational structure and principles in line with group/global standards and develop high-performing teams, including organizational restructuring, optimal utilization, redeployment, and right-sizing of people resources.
Building effective performance culture in the organization, implement group/global business performance standards, KPIs, and targets to enhance business performance, and recognize and reward high performance in individuals and teams.
Deciding on competence-related actions to support business strategy, in addition to implementing development and educational activities to build and improve key skills in collaboration with HR Talent team.
Maintaining close dialogue with Talent & Learning Organization and set and implement strategies and actions to ensure healthy and sustainable talent structure in the organization, including recruitment, succession planning relating to business-critical positions, and diversity and inclusion.
Determining remuneration competitiveness and compensation components based on business needs and in line with group/global strategy and policy as well as monitoring personnel costs and partnering with key stakeholders to understand and address HR-related issues.
Deciding on change management needed to support business strategy, in addition to executing necessary measures and actions to facilitate change and implementing HSE/business compliance standards and regulations within your area of responsibility.

Your background
BS/BA degree (preferably MA or MBA) in HR Management or related field, complemented by 12+ years’ generalist HR experience, including proven track record as an HR leader in a demanding manufacturing environment.
Experience in working across country lines and operating in a global, multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure.
Demonstrable accomplishments relating to organizational change activities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven success in talent management and well-developed skills in building competencies and capabilities at all levels of the facility.
Labor relations experience in a union environment, including labor contract negotiations.
Working knowledge of federal laws, including employment and labor laws, as well as a proven track record in developing core HR polices around both labor and employee relations.
Finely honed communication and interpersonal skills as well as integrity, professionalism, and the ability to influence at all levels.
Fluent command of English, both written and spoken, preferably complemented by additional foreign language skills.
