Who you are
We are looking for a purpose lead specialist for the Human Rights and Social Impact team at the Hubhult Office in Malmö, reporting to the Human Rights and Social Impact Manager. You will be a key player in delivering to our purpose of balancing economic growth and positive social impact with environmental protection and regeneration.
To be successful in this role, you have:
Knowledge and experience in working with the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines on Multinational Enterprises.
Up-to-date knowledge of latest legislation, trends and research on human rights and social impact and access to a strong external network on the topics.
Strong collaboration skills, you seek collaboration cross functionally to reach highest possible impact and build strong and trustful relationships on different levels inside and outside IKEA.
A proven track record of interdependent leadership skills – you can communicate a broad understanding about strategic goals and objectives and takes action and collaborates across the business in order to achieve results through others
Higher education in human rights law or similar, and experience working with human rights in a business context.
What you'll be doing day to day
You will be responsible for setting up and facilitating Ingka Group’s human rights due diligence strategy and enable integration into business processes. Together with the team, you will provide up to date subject matter expertise and continuously develop insights & competence around Human Rights & Social Impact.
More specifically, you will:
Develop and perform human rights due diligence, in collaboration with business owners, as well as support with incidents raised in grievance processes.
Develop, implement, and maintain guiding principles, policies, and business requirements for Human Rights & Social Impact, aligned and up to date with current legislation.
Support on building awareness and understanding of business responsibility to respect human rights internally and externally with business partners
Identify challenges and opportunities in the area of Human Rights & Social Impact based on emerging topics, best practices, materiality and impact.
As a subject-matter expert, be an internal spokesperson for human rights topics
Work across the People & Planet Positive strategy teams to identify areas for collaboration and simplification that cut across the entire People & Planet positive strategy.
