HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems. You will be part of HVDC within the System Design division in Ludvika.

Your responsibilities
Design, maintenance and development of internal and external software used in the HVDC System Design for engineering work such as automatic calculations, system modelling, simulation studies and in-depth technical analysis.
Manage development projects of new software tools.
Life-cycle management of existing tools, software and processes.
Identify and drive development of engineering process with focus on automation.
Application management such as purchasing, distribution, licensing and agreements.

Your background
Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar field.
Knowledge and combined interest in software tools and engineering processes. Previous experience is meriting.
Proficient in English since you will be part of a company that operates on the global arena.
Ability to work independently but also in team with dedicated focus and drive.
Ambition and natural focus on improving the organization through quality, structure and efficiency.
