Kongsberg Automotive have now started a new Center of Excellence (COE) for Electronic and SW development in Mullsjö. This team will be responsible for design, development and test of the electronics for the full product range within all business areas in Europe. We also work together with our colleagues in North America and Asia in a global automotive market.

Our objective is to be in the global frontline of our product ranges where electronics is having an increasing impact on our designs. Working towards global customers and suppliers means a great portion of international contacts. You are a part of a functional team that works with the full range from concept studies to product design and refinement of existing products.

Job profile
As a HW/SW Test Engineer, you plan, design and perform tests for both the HW and SW design, as part of the complete product validation. You will be responsible for assuring that the HW and SW requirements are tested and verified. The tests should cover the HW and SW of the product in terms of complete SW functionality, HW unit- and complete testing and HW/SW integration testing.
Target is to utilize the HW and SW test knowledge to deliver tests and test documents in accordance to the appointed product requirements and standards, with the correct quality, in correct and planned time and meeting the different cost targets.
You will work close with the HW and SW design engineers in handling and reviewing requirements and from that set appropriate project test strategy. Your knowledge in testing HW and SW, including regression testing, black box and white box testing, exploratory testing and complete requirement coverage testing, enables you to work on complex projects with autonomous and embedded systems.
In that capacity, you will together with the team prepare quotes for HW/SW testing towards electronic products, establish test set up proposals, ensure test development, establish test plans, test specifications and test reports, establish functional / qualification test procedures for the hardware and software. Furthermore, you will support and participates in the complete product testing.


Candidate profile

. MSc / BSc Engineering degree or similar.
. Experience in HW or SW testing for embedded systems.
. Experience in designing and developing test cases.
. Knowledge in test tools for electrical loads and signal measurements.
. Knowledge in test tools for bus communication and diagnostics such as CANoe or similar.
. Knowledge in CAN, LIN or similar interfaces.
. Knowledge of development processes, methods, and tools.
. Team player with a strong drive and a positive attitude.
. Committed, self-starting and taking responsibility, high focus and interest to improve the day-to-day
work.
. Experience from ISO 16750, IEC 61508, MISRA, Autosar and ISO 26262 or similar is valuable.
. Fluency in spoken and written in English.
