Vattenfall
Asset Optimization and Trading (AOT) is the Business Division where all Asset Optimization and Trading activities are centralized for the Vattenfall Group. Our activities are multi-site located across Europe with more than 600 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. We trade the full range of energy commodities such as electricity, gas, oil, coal, freight, renewable energies and emissions, take responsibility for a diversified sourcing of power, fuels and carbon credits and optimize the running and hedging of Vattenfall’s generation assets. These efforts are the basis for maximum profitability and continuous business growth.
Within AOT, the Business Unit Asset Optimization Nordic (AON) is responsible for production planning, dispatching, logistics, as well as developing and implementing the hedging strategy for Vattenfall’s production assets in the Nordic area. By our efforts, we optimize the portfolio value and ensure that all asset risks are managed efficiently.
Within AON the Hydro Planning unit operates on the weekly to daily scale, considering seasonal constrains and conditions, we are using price and inflow forecasts (seasonal and short term) to run our optimization tools. With our experience and detailed knowledge we turn model outputs to executable weekly production plans, plans that are continuously updated in order to adapt to continuously changing conditions.
Our vision is a hydro planning competence centre designed to unfold and deliver optimal hydro bids and to provide best possible basis for intra day optimization.
For or office in Stockholm we are looking for a Hydro Planner. We offer a challenging and exciting position in a team which is a key player in the management of Vattenfall’s hydro power asset portfolio, a portfolio of approximately 35 TWh.
