HYDRODYNAMIC ANALYSIS ENGINEER
Bassoe Technology is now looking for a Hydrodynamic Analysis Engineer to strengthen our team. We are broadening our design portfolio and naval architecture is a key competence for development of our concepts.
The primary responsibility of the Hydrodynamic Analysis Engineer is to plan, perform, execute or lead hydrodynamic and station keeping analyses of offshore structures. These include semi-submersibles, FPSOs, drill ships, wind foundations, jack-ups etc.
As a hydrodynamic analysis engineer you:
Are active in concept development phase for new floating units.
Are responsible for maintaining analysis tools and software.
Follow latest developments within rules and regulations.
Perform motion, station keeping and other performance analysis of our floating units.
Requirements for this position:
You are a team player that can work effectively in projects, you want to collaborate and are interested in the other various disciplines within Bassoe Technology.
You are communicative, have a positive attitude and you are pragmatic.
M.Sc. degree in naval architecture, civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
Strong theoretical knowledge and preferably programming skills.
Two+ years working experience within hydrodynamic analysis in offshore related projects, shorter working experience can be compensated by a proactive attitude.
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Swedish.
Knowledge of rules and regulations from classification societies (DNV, ABS etc), flag states and coast government authorities are not a requirement but preferable.
Experience in working with DNV SESAM software suite, WAMIT and OrcaFlex etc. is not a requirement but preferable.
