Application Engineering Lead

Our Global Growth and Hydrogen Business Unit team is looking for an experienced Application Engineer to take the responsibility of assessing and recommending technology and process concept design for our early-stage large scale projects (+500MW) and leading the technology and process workstreams for our smaller scale projects. While focus is on hydrogen and iron-making technologies, the role also requires a good understanding of balancing systems (e.g. power & water), as well as other potential offtakes of hydrogen. In addition, the Application Engineering Lead will represent the unit in partnership dialogues bringing technology depth and expertise to the table as well as conducting technology feasibility assessments related to expansion into new offtake verticals. The role is part of a diverse team of project managers, business developers, and commercial experts tasked with scaling up H2GS Boden concept to other sites and regions locally and globally.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for assessing technology and process design for new verticals and hydrogen value chains
- Lead the technology and concept design workstream for large scale projects during the early stage including draft technology choices and conceptual plant design
- Lead the technology workstream for small-scale hydrogen projects from concept to commissioning
- Act as main contact within the Global Growth and Hydrogen Business Unit to the corporate technology team


Requirements:

- Experience from process engineering
- Proven experience as a process engineer in hydrogen, chemicals, or oil & gas, created lasting impact
- Experience from working with power, water and compressor technology and systems
- Ability to influence, lead and mentor others
- Ability to build and develop things from scratch where little is known or in place
- Relevant Engineering Degree
