Hydrometallurgical Process Engineer

The Hydrometallurgical Process Engineer works with the Sweden General Manager to develop the Hatch business in Sweden through client engagement, business development and proposals, and client project assignments. The specialization in hydrometallurgy is essential to Hatch’s objectives in development of its battery metals business.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
· Demonstrated commitment to the Hatch company culture and the vision, mission and values represented in the Hatch Manifesto.
· Bachelor of Engineering degree in chemical or metallurgical engineering.
· Hydrometallurgical process design experience in flowsheet development, mass and energy balance simulation, process optimization, equipment sizing. Particular experience in battery metals processing flowsheets.
· Project experience in concept studies, preliminary and basic engineering, and project execution.
· Field commissioning and/or plant troubleshooting experience.
· Effective client engagement and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Hydrometallurgical process design project assignments including flowsheet development, mass and energy balance simulation, process optimization, equipment sizing, including in battery metals processing flowsheets.
· Client engagement and proposal preparation for new and existing clients to build Hatch’s business in Sweden.
· Leadership in establishing the Hatch culture within the new Hatch Sweden business.
