IAM Engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What's in it for you
Are you a software engineer with an interest in IAM and does the thought of helping Volvo Cars become a fully electric car company by 2030 excite you? Excellent, then this might be a great opportunity for you, and we’d love for you to be one of our new (senior) IAM engineers!

We work in customer-centric product teams to make Volvo Cars’ business fully digital. Our team is part of the Global Online Experience (GOX) area, and our mission is to ensure we know our customers well and keep this information safe and secure. We support the rest of the organisation in using this knowledge to serve our customers in the best possible way.

We’re currently redesigning and developing a Customer IAM solution that will support our digital needs of the future and we have some exciting challenges ahead of us! The team’s located primarily in Stockholm, Sweden but we work in a hybrid mode and can also support working from other locations.

We offer our employees excellent benefits such as
* Plenty of leave to let you take time off for what's most important in life
* Collective Agreement and ITP pensions
* An annual allowance to spend on your health and wellbeing

What you’ll do
* Design, develop, test and deploy new platform features. Sometimes this will involve coding (mostly in Java), other times features may be implemented through existing modules and configuration options within the platform.
* Contribute to the observability of the platform, maintaining monitoring and alerting mechanisms and logic (e.g. using Splunk and Prometheus/Grafana) so we can quickly identify and respond to anomalies and incidents and optimize reliability of the platform.
* Together with the team, identify and propose platform improvements. For example, you could work with performance testing and resource optimization or be part of our ongoing work to re-design and improve the CI/CD strategy to shorten lead times and further improve quality.
* Share and encourage sound engineering practices and propose improvements to our ways of working.
* Work in a team of experienced engineers with a nice and respectful culture. You will be encouraged to demonstrate and champion an appetite for knowledge and take part in our growing community of skilled engineers.
