Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket, SSHL, is a boarding school run as a non-profit foundation by Sigtuna Skolstiftelse, with its historical roots dating back to the 1920s. The school offers education in both Swedish national curriculum from year 7 upwards to gymnasium and international baccalaureate programmes, leading to a mixture of both Swedish and international school culture. Today the school has just over 700 students, divided between day- and boarding students with representation from around 45 different countries.
SSHL is an IB World school, currently with three IB programmes, MYP, CP and DP. Our newly started IB Career-related programme with Business and hospitality management as its focus has added breadth to our education experience.
Our ambition is to work for the students best interests at all times.
ARBETSUPPGIFTER
We are now seeking applications for an IB CP Coordinator combined with approximately 70% teaching load, applicants will preferably have social science/business subject specialities.
Are you the person we are looking for to lead the continued development of this exciting programme at SSHL? The role will involve working in the IB Leadership team, with the IB CP teachers and our industry partners to ensure the smooth running and development of the IB Career-related programme.
KVALIFIKATIONER
Professionally, you will hold qualified teacher status and have experience working in an independent or international school setting. As a person, you will be resilient, flexible and structured. You will be able to develop positive relationships with all members of the school community and you will be committed to delivering a high quality educational experience. The desire to embrace responsibility and the capacity to adopt a solution-oriented approach to your work is vital, as is the ability to manage time effectively.
Experience of working within IB programmes is essential and previous experience of holding a position of responsibility is highly desirable.
Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and before employment is confirmed, a clean police criminal record is required.

Interviews will be held continuously during the application period. The closing date for applications is April 30th 2022. The position is available from August 12th 2022.
Given the time frame involved, preference will be given to candidates who have the necessary clearance to work in the European Union.
