Bladins is a school with six different sections – Swedish Montessori Pre-school, International Pre-school, Swedish Compulsory School, International School, Upper Secondary School and After School Department.

Bladins is a foundation. A foundation is a legal entity and has, as opposed to associations and companies, no members or owners. The foundation is a non-profit-making organization and any profit will go straight back into the school. The Board is the Foundation’s highest decision-making body. The foundation is supervised by Länsstyrelsen i Skåne Län (The County Administrative Board).

Bladins International School of Malmö (BISM) is an authorized IB World School and offers both PYP and MYP programs as well as an international bilingual preschool. Our students come from 47 different countries and their very diverse backgrounds contribute to our open-minded, multicultural and caring atmosphere. Students find it easy to settle in and very quickly become part of our school community. And that is important. Students who feel comfortable at school are more likely to learn successfully.

To support its students in the realisation of its mission, Bladins:

- Is committed to the continued development of the IB PYP and MYP as a means to offer high quality international education
- Achieves the highest academic standards, especially those which are measurable and demonstrable
- Maintains physical, pedagogical, and psychosocial learning and teaching environments conductive to the highest standards of attainment

(Your role)

Are you passionate about international education? Are you looking to lead an established and thriving IB school with a clear vision into an even brighter future?

As Principal at BISM, your mission is to support your staff in the process of further developing the school’s quality work, culture and brand based on our students and focus on learning. Your role is both strategic and operative and involves, for example, finding ways to effectively link the IB to Swedish school laws as well as communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.

Despite the clear goals and processes in place, this role also allows for creativity and independence in order to improve and continue building! To support you in your role as Principal, BISM offers support functions such as Vice Principals, Coordinators, Student Support Team as well as HR, Finance and Quality Controller. Furthermore, you are a part of the Bladins School Management Team which meets regularly and networking with IB schools in your region is something you do on a regular basis.

Do you have school leadership experience from an international context? Are you familiar with the IB and enjoy change management? Then this could be the job opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

We are looking for someone with clear communication skills and who enjoys leading by example. You are an experienced, stable and brave leader who knows how to lead their team towards common goals but also not afraid to challenge in order to develop each individual’s competence. You have a coaching leadership style and are great at seeing what each staff member brings to the table; you have no problem delegating responsibility to others.

One of your strengths is your passion for creating a work environment which promotes a feeling of togetherness and team spirit with an emphasis on solutions.

In order for you to successfully lead our school, it is important that your English language skills are very strong; it is an added bonus if you also understand Swedish.
