IES Special Education Project Manager

We are looking for a Special Education Project Manager to lead and facilitate the development of special education in our schools as well as company-wide initiatives and projects.
You will join our Education Team led by the Heads of Education, Academics, Legal and Pastoral who aim to continually improve IES educational quality for our students and staff.

A certified specialpedagog who
successfully leads special education at an IES school
is strongly committed to the IES vision, ethos and values
has in-depth knowledgeable about the steering documents for special education (skollagen, förordningar, läroplanerna och kursplanerna) as well as IES procedures (Prorenata + tilläggsbelopp)
believes in continual learning and improvement
enjoys supporting colleagues and sharing best practices
Is proficient in both English and Swedish



Description of project role & responsibilities
Promote and support the delivery of IES ethos to ensure high academic expectations in a calm, learning environment through training, seminars, lectures and observations
Create support material for specialpedagoger in order to improve the quality of the applications for tilläggsbelopp applications
Develop company-wide initiatives for special education
Design a long-term plan for conferences/further education for special needs educators Develop systems that may be of use to schools in tracking quality in special education
Facilitate good communication and teamwork within the Education and Quality teams





Conditions
This is a full-time project position based at HQ for 6 months starting January 1, 2023 with the possibility to extend the project. A review will be conducted during the spring term to determine future needs.
The Special Education Manager reports to the Head of Education and is a part of the Education Team.
