Job description

We are now looking for a skilled Ignition System Component Owner with a strong focus on project deliveries and skills in leading a cross-functional team and supplier interaction.
You are going to work in a highly motivated team at the Handheld R&D Power Systems division at Husqvarna Group in Huskvarna, Sweden. Power Systems is responsible for the development of the power train in both Battery and Petrol products. We develop next generation handheld products for forest industry and urban environments. The work comprehend mostly on the development of ignition systems for small two-stroke engines.
Responsibilities
As Ignition System Component Owner you will be working in projects from concept phase up until production start and aftermarket. You will coordinate and lead the work within your responsibility area, to reach the objectives and secure the deliveries within the given technical requirements, time and budget. Close contact with other areas within R&D, purchase, manufacturing and suppliers are necessary. You will report to the project leaders and group manager.
Your key responsibilities are:
Develop technical specifications
Manage supplier based development of ignition systems
Develop test plans and work with system test and product lab to validate engine performance
Work with mechanical engineers to create design drawings and release to manufacturing
Support product development including material sourcing, supplier engagement and process development
Qualifications
To be successful as an Ignition System Component Owner you should most likely have the following capabilities and experiences:
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or 3 years related experience
3+ years of experience (academic or professional) in electrical engineering and embedded software
Ability to work with design engineers and resolve technical issues
Knowledge of programming in Visual Basic, C/C++, Matlab, Python, etc
Strong communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in engine management
Experience in Matlab/Simulink, LabVIEW and LT Spice
