About the role
IKEA has decided that our suppliers have to source cotton, being our second biggest raw material, from sustainable sources, through and in cooperation with BCI and according to our IWAY demands.

The IKEA Cotton Leader will lead and secure that all initiatives and actions related to our suppliers? sourcing of cotton will apply to the decisions made by IKEA with the aim to reach our final goals by end 2015 and beyond.

The IKEA Cotton Leader will be responsible that IKEA reaches the goal of having 100% Better Cotton in its supply chain by end 2015 and beyond. He/she will make sure that our approach and working routines are anchored, accepted and implemented internally within IKEA and externally with other stake-holders.

About the Assignment
The assignment is to set the global IKEA cotton strategies in IKEA and secure that we have actions at Trading Area and supplier level which will deliver to the IKEA cotton strategies.

- Responsible for the implementation of 100% Better Cotton by end 2015 and beyond.
- Responsible for all external contacts and cooperation with external partners
- Responsible to implement changes in the related organization
- Take an active role in the matrix responsibility in relation to the represented line organisation
- Take actions internally in IKEA to increase the general knowledge in cotton questions.
- Create and deliver trainings for IKEA suppliers and IKEA business responsible when necessary.
- Secure right communication both internally within IKEA and externally.

This could be role for you if you have the following skills and knowledge:
- Experience in leadership positions within IKEA and well as the proven ability to build strong and effective networks of contacts
- Knowledge and understanding of the IKEA key processes
- Good knowledge of raw material trading, internally and externally
- Basic knowledge of the general cotton trading market
- Experience with internal and external / media communication
- You are production and business oriented with proven result
- You have the energy and ability to think and work globally, cross functions and processes
- High motivation to develop IKEA in its raw material and IWAY direction related to cotton
- You are customer oriented and take a holistic approach to IKEA as Leader in life at home
- You think strategically, analytical skills and the ability to set, implement and follow up goals,
- You have a proven record of successfully influencing
