System Specialist Network

Central Network is the department within IKEA IT Production that provides Global Data Centre network solutions to the Growing IKEA. As a System Specialist you will be a key player within a team that is responsible for design, build, support and availability of the network infrastructure within the IKEA Data Centers. Our solutions are mainly built on Cisco platforms and includes products and services such as Nexus, 6500, ACE, ASA and Cisco Management Suite.

Is this a challenge for you?
To be successful in this role, we are looking for you who have a University degree within relevant areas and at least 5 years working experience of a complex, highly virtualized network environment. You have very good understanding of common network and computing technologies. You will get the chance to grow both personally and professionally with the challenges that we have ahead of us.

The assignment
• Perform installations, configurations, maintenance and monitoring
• Provide the service level and quality our users need: work proactively with incident and problem management and implement complex changes.
• Support and maintain the life cycle management of our products and services in cooperation with the Product Specialists.
• Take initiatives and act proactively to improve the use of software, hardware, processes and tools in order to optimize the service delivery with consumer in focus.
• Share your knowledge with colleagues and document according to rules and standards.
