The International Manufacturing (IM) organisation has the overriding responsibility for all global CKD (Complete Knock Down) operations within VTC Global Manufacturing, encompassing all processes from incoming orders to delivery of complete trucks to our customers. The responsibility also includes the start-up of new overseas factories as well as the introduction of new products into existing factories. International Manufacturing Engineering (IME) is responsible for the long term development as well as short term engineering support to the factories within IM. The department consists of five people and we are supporting KD-operations in India, Iran, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand and Tunisia and our CBU (Complete Built Up) Factory in Australia. IME is also responsible for IM Project Portfolio and represents IM Engineering both in IM Management & GME Management. We are now looking for an IM Plant Coordinator. As a Plant Coordinator you will coordinate, support and drive long term development work within your area of responsibility. This will be done in close co-operation with our colleagues and customers in the CKD factories as well as with other Engineering colleagues within Global Manufacturing and Volvo Truck Corporation. The position requires an outgoing, positive and flexible character and offers a developing and interesting position in an international environment. Requirements . Appropriate University degree or equivalent . Experience of Engineering work within heavy duty vehicle industry or equivalent is an advantage . Lean Manufacturing skills and/or experience from Volvo Production System is an advantage . A genuine interest of Volvo's Products and its structure & systems . Structured, analytic and flexible . Fluent in English, written and spoken The position is located in Gothenburg. Some travelling is required/expected every year.
