IM is a Swedish development cooperation organisation working to achieve a world free from poverty and exclusion, where everyone can find out about their rights and take control of their lives. We support individuals exposed to exclusion and discrimination of different forms, so that they can change their situation through their own efforts. IM was founded in 1938 and has no religious or political affiliation.
It is essential for IM to constantly increase and secure our revenues to make it possible for IM to grow and develop our activities. We need to diversify our income portfolio in order to reduce dependence on a single source and to make our revenues more stable, predictable and easy to survey.
Institutional donors are an important stream of revenue for IM. Parallel to the work with SIDA, IM will now increase and deepen our efforts in applying to other institutions like the European Union and Commission, the UN, embassies, large foundations, etc. – where it is deemed relevant.
Your role
· As an Institutional Fundraiser you will develop, implement and follow up the fundraising plan regarding institutional donors in close coordination with the fundraising department and global operations.
· Build and maintain a network of institutional donors.
· Coordinate activities and content with the regional directors, global operations and the communications team.
· Keep abreast of developments and project progress which may contribute to communication materials for updates and reports to institutional donors.
· Check compliance, providing advice on how to adhere to institutional donor requirements regarding fund applications.
Your profile
You should:
· have a bachelor or master's degree, or equivalent experience, in relevant field/s.
· have a minimum of three years’ experience in fundraising in the institutional sector; and with a vast network within this segment.
· have knowledge and experience of fundraising techniques in the institutional sector for development cooperation and relevant communication channels.
· have experience from writing applications for institutional funding.
· have good social and communications skills and be used to give presentations, hold meetings and negotiate with high-level institutional managers.
· be fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
· recognize yourself in IM’s mission and values.
It is desired if you:
· have knowledge of global human rights issues in an international development setting.
· have knowledge in Arabic, French or Swedish.

Other information
Duty station: The employment is remote, or at IM’s head office in Lund, Sweden.
Frame of contract: Two years with a possibility to extend.
Start date: Open to negotiation.
