Image Retoucher

In our global in-house creative agency, Catalogue Development Centre, we work with the latest trends in fashion and cosmetics. Every third week a new catalogue is launched, with beautiful and selling layouts, displaying the more than 800 Oriflame products. The Oriflame catalogue is the shopping window and store for our customers all over the world! The agency employs around 100 people; all with a devotion to fashion, trends and creation. Together with the Marketing and Product Development department we are responsible for translating new product ideas into catalogue pages, distributed as our main marketing tool for selling our products all over the world. The agency covers all activities related to model selection, photo shootings, art direction, copy, retouch, layout editing, language translations, project management, production coordination and printing; all functions tightly working together with the aim to making our catalogue number one in the world. Our catalogue is distributed in 59 markets globally and printed in 100 million copies per year. The catalogue covers 35 language versions, 48 price versions, 55 000 unique text pages, 11 000 unique layout pages and 11 000 new pictures per year. We are now looking for a number of persons to strengthen the department during the summer holidays. The purpose of the job As Image Retoucher you will serve the creative team with image retouch. Your tasks will be advanced image retouch of model and product pictures, preparation of colour proofs and creation of high resolution printable PDFs. You will work together with our Art Directors, Layout Artists and Print Production Coordinators in the process, retouching both new images from our photographers and existing images to suit new catalogues. Your key responsibilities will include * Image retouch of new images in collaboration with Art Director and Layout Artist * Retouch of existing pictures to suit new catalogues * Prepare colour proofs and create high resolution printable PDFs Your qualifications * Outstanding skills in Adobe Photoshop * Thorough experience from QuarkXPress and the Adobe Creative Suite programs * Advanced colour adaption skills * Good understanding of the graphical workflow and the printing process in all * Good english skills Your characteristics You are a flexible and service minded team player, with a lot of creativity in problem solving.
