Imaging engineer

Requirements
Your main tasks will be:
- Optimize image quality in projects developing new camera products. Optimization includes exposure and focus algorithms, noise filtering, white balance and color settings
- Contribute to lens and sensor selection and to the design of mechanics and electronics to ensure the best possible image system.
- Testing cameras under development in lab environment and common scenes, indoors and outdoors
- In collaboration with hardware and mechanical engineers, develop prototypes for image quality testing and tuning
- Development of embedded software in our cameras.
- Development and improvement of production tests and calibrations for the imaging system.
Good to have
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:
- Experience programming in e.g. Python, shell, C++ or C.
- Software development in a Linux environment.
- Knowledge of optics, image sensors, IR filters and IR diodes.
- Image processing processors (ISP), algorithms and algorithm implementation.
- Photographic interest and a trained image-eye, in order to be able to determine whether an image/video is good for surveillance purposes and to decide from the footage what measures should be taken to improve its quality.
