Improvement and Initiatives Manager, Billing & Debt Collection Sweden

The Billing and Debt Collection unit provides billing and debt collection and accounting services to the business areas across the whole of Consumer Solutions. The operation is organized in three units across Finland, Sweden and Norway. The unit handles production of more than 35 million invoices and collection of payments and debt collection accordingly.

The unit has a strong focus on continuous service delivery improvements and seeking best practice and utilizing customer engagement opportunities in close collaboration with the business units and IT. The billing unit currently has around 120 employees.



This is a temporary full-time assignment for 12 months and starts as soon as possible.



Your role

We are now looking for an Improvement and Initiatives Manager for the Billing & Debt Collection to Fortum in Sweden, with location in Stockholm.

As an Improvement and Initiatives Manager you will drive and coordinate different operational and strategic initiatives. You will have an important role in supporting the unit’s management in implementing agreed changes from different initiatives and projects.

You will have the overall responsibility for continuous improvement. You will be an ambassador for making sure that the unit deliver an excellent customer experience towards both end-customers and internal customer.

As Improvement and Initiatives Manager you will take the lead within the unit in driving the new way of working in close collaboration with Nordic counterparts, other functions and business units.

You will be responsible for securing an efficient change handling process ensuring that service quality levels are in accordance with customer requirements.

As Improvement and Initiatives manager you have a key role in developing the BDC unit way forward. You will be a part of the Billing & Debt Collection management team in Sweden and work closely with your counterparts in Norway and Finland to identify and implement best practice throughout the Nordics and drive harmonization.



Your qualifications and skills

To succeed in the role as improvement and initiatives manager you need to have excellent collaboration and communication skills. You have a way that inspires your colleagues to seek new ways and try out new things. Since your colleagues are expert withing their different areas we see that you love to facilitate workshops and brainstorming and that you can help others to understand by explaining things from different angles and by visualizing. It´s also important that you’re a “hands-on person” who is good at getting things going.

We expect you to have:

- University degree within relevant area
- Minimum 5 years of management experience and proven experience from similar positions (ex. Project management, consultancy)
- Good knowledge about and a passion for customer experience
- The ability to look at things from both an operational and strategic point of view
- Have experience from working with continuous improvements
- Good project management skills
- Furthermore, you have excellent interpersonal skills with capability to build cooperation networks in large and international organizations
- Fluent in Swedish and English
