About PDU Converged Core
PDU Converged Core (PDU CC) is part of Solution Area Communication Services in Business Area Digital Services. The key offering under PDU CC is IMS which is the central part of VoLTE and also the base for 5G Voice. Currently we are evolving our IMS portfolio into cloud native. The PDU has around 1000 employees and an additional 300 staff at suppliers. Apart from being a market leader in IMS, the PDU is also developing new offerings in the Enterprise & IoT space e.g. related to Entitlement and Device security in collaboration with partners such as Apple, Samsung and Google.
Job description:
We are now looking for a senior leader to lead the IMS VoLTE program within PDU Converged Core. As program manager for the IMS VoLTE program you will lead a cross-PDU program with E2E responsibility for developing R&D features and product customizations.
The scope of the program is
Main development scope for the VoLTE program is IMS Voice and Messaging functionality for IP networks like 4G, 5G and fixed wire line(VoLTE, 5G Voice, Interconnect, IMS Multi device support like Apple watch and home speakers).
Program manager will lead the program Operationally in close cooperation with the Technical lead from the PDU and the Business leader from Solution Line according to the B-T-O model giving short decisions paths to increase efficiency.
This role enables close cooperating and understanding in several areas, like R&D, Product management, Service delivery and close cooperation with the Customer Units around the world.
Participate and contribute in various product development and customer deployment steering groups.
Main responsibilities & tasks:
Lead the VoLTE program, consisting of ~25 cross-functional development teams and supporting roles
Close collaboration with solution Line and technical leaders, prioritize and decide on the contents of the program backlog
Deliver features to fulfil customer needs and/or strategic intent
Optimize flow and WoW within the program and in the Operations and Programs unit.
Drive collaboration with external parties, including other programs in the BU
Foster a culture of learning and collaboration
Follow up and report progress on program deliverables in program governance forums
Budget responsibility for the program, including capability management & planning
Identify bottlenecks in processes, propose and implement improvements and new ways of working.
Qualifications & Core competences:
Senior R&D leader with proven track record from program and/or line manager roles.
Strong knowledge and experience in R&D ways of working, including lean & agile principles and practices
Business and customer focus
Experience from international multi-site organizations or projects
Excellent ability to collaborate across organizational borders
Excellent communication skills, including transparency, clarity and ability to motivate and inspire people
Change management skills, drive to continuously improve
Strong people leadership, including coaching and facilitation skills
Ability to multi-task and balance conflicting needs & requirements
The position reports to the Head of Operations & Programs and will also be part of the PDU extended leadership team.
The position resides in Stockholm, Sweden.
