In-Store Logistics Specialist, IKEA Services AB

PURPOSE:
Optimise all logistical operations in our stores through linking the in-store logistics development to our commercial and supply strategy, and working with the Goods Flow Managers in the stores to maximise our stores Goods Flow performances.

ASSIGNMENT:
Customer
Establish best practice way of working in every part of the Goods Flow process e.g. unloading / holiday planning / graphical structure/ resource planning to establish best practice efficiency.
Use available sources of data (COGNOS, MHS, Auto GADD MHS e.t.c) to build the relevant In-Store Logistics related reports and follow ups, and provide it to the stores.
Secure that content of Retail Logistics hub is relevant and up to date.

Commercial
Ensure that technical solutions (e.g. SGF, SLM, DES) are used correctly and support efficient goods flow operation.
Actively support stores not achieving their goals through phone calls, coaching and sharing best practice.
Identify and find solutions to common issues within our units, within the goods flow,
by using the ?Close the Gap? approach and networking within the country and globally.
Support the country ISL manager deliver global projects.

People
Support a safe working environment for all Goods Flow co-workers by ensuring the understanding of SEC check within the Goods Flow managers and Goods Flow team leaders.
Annually, and together with an ISL manager, I review the Logistics Health & Safety Policies; propose any necessary changes with Risk who updates those policies.

Matrix to the Goods flow team managers.
Arrange Goods Flow physical Matrix meetings together with the ISL manager.
I take joint responsibility together with the store Goods Flow managers in the recruitment and development of Good Flow Team Managers by identifying what skills are needed now and in the future to achieve the objectives of their role. I work with them to ensure their Goods Flow skills continually improve.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Three years full-time experience in an IKEA store.
Keen interest in retailing and logistics.
Expert knowledge of store goods flow processes and systems.
Highly developed analytical and numerical skills.
Computer proficient.
Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team as well as independently.
Ability to follow agreed deadlines.
Ability to set expectations for others and provide clear direction and follow up.
Ability to adjust the style of communication to get the message across to the receiver.
Confident in communicating within their own function as well as across functions.
Ability to read and communicate in English.
Proven problem-solving ability.
