Randstad has the exciting opportunity to offer two roles as in vivo scientists at IRLAB, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. IRLAB is a company focusing on the discovery and development of new drugs for treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other life-altering diseases that affect the central nervous system (CNS).

Responsibilities
You will work mainly in vivo with tasks related to the fields of Parkinson’s disease and diseases affecting the CNS.
Responsibilities include:
Work on in vivo rodent models with full engagement with stakeholders.
Hands on activity in the lab.
Perform rodent behavioral tests.
Technical procedures such as collecting biological samples, administering medicines/compounds and conducting bioanalysis.
Work in an interdisciplinary environment and support CNS related projects and studies.
Ensure that studies are conducted with quality and that data is delivered according to timelines and project requirements.
Compile, interpret, present and discuss data with the team.
Qualifications
You hold a Ph.D, M.Sc, or B.Sc in a relevant field, such neuroscience, pharmacy or biology. You are in the beginning of your career or you have several years of work experience.
As a successful candidate, you are experimentally focused, with strong troubleshooting skills and make significant contributions to the practical delivery of projects related to the field.
The following is required:
Experience in working with laboratory rodents.
Experience of working with bioanalytical techniques.
Ability to perform work independently.
Laboratory animal science (LAS) course.
Excellent English is required, both spoken and written.
Knowledge in Swedish is a merit.
You will have good social and communication skills, be collaborative and be a strong team player. Candidates should be able to work independently and have a positive, goal oriented and problem-solving attitude. It is also that important that you are meticulous and have a calm attitude when working with animals.
