Job description
I am in the process of starting a new restaurant in Sandviken, Sweden. The company is registered in Sweden.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned chef with a background in fine dining and understand true indian flavours. You will run an efficient kitchen by consistently looking to improve the menu and producing quality food. Better knowledge on south indian flavours is an added advantage.
Job Summary
Accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Works to continually improve guest satisfaction while maximising the financial performance in all areas of responsibility. Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced.Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. Responsible for managing restaurant. Must be fluent in english. It would be good if you can speak swedish.
Key tasks
Develop food and service philosophy based around Indian cuisines.
Ensure quality is maintained with a standardised product.
Maintain cost effectiveness by maintaining profitability in all areas.
Ensure the highest standard in preparation of food production and delivery.
Exceed guest expectations in quality and service of food products
Plan and design menus for food
Minimise food wastage at all times
Manage the ordering of food products to ensure financial objectives are met and produce is available for all events
Ensures that the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy, and the safety of consumable goods
Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment (s)he uses
