Sandvik's Tax department, within the Sandvik Group, is a part of Group Finance, and our employees share the vision of becoming a strategic and highly developed function in managing tax issues in a global environment. Tax is a highly prioritized area, given its important impact on shareholder value for Sandvik. Sandvik is growing both organically and through acquisitions and is currently operating in a new strategic direction in order to strengthen market leadership.
We are now looking for an Indirect Tax Manager. The position will be based in Stockholm.
Key performance areas
As Indirect Tax Manager you will work closely with the Senior Indirect Tax Manager, as well as the Group Tax team, to develop and execute Group Tax strategy in the area of Indirect Taxes, with focus on innovation, business integration, technology, global and regional awareness, management of tax risk/internal controls and leadership. Your profile
We are looking for a person with a degree or relevant experience from business, commerce or law. You have excellent knowledge of indirect taxes and have worked in this area for 5+ years, either in a law/professional services firm, or in-house. Excellent communications skills are a necessity for this role and knowledge of business English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent project management and prioritization capabilities, as well as good strategic abilities and a talent for analysis and critical thinking. In addition, experience with designing and implementing processes and solutions in matrix organizations is important. Furthermore, we expect that you are business-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work both within a team and independently.
The ideal person will embrace change and innovation and be able to work closely with other indirect and group tax members to execute strategy, while understanding other organizational initiatives and the value/synergies that can be secured by strategic Group Tax action.
