Saab is looking for an Indirect Tax Manager with excellent analytical skills, who can go from words to action and wants to work in an international environment at a growing company with increased business complexity where you as an employee get great responsibility and development opportunities.
Your role
As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will play a key role within the organization, assisting the business with your expertise, support and advice, whilst enabling Saab to work efficiently, accurately and structured in its domestic and international operations. You will participate in tax risks analyses and work proactively to improve Saab's processes and routines in relation to all indirect taxes (excluding customs duty), while the main focus resides at value added tax (VAT).
As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will monitor and ensure implementation of regulatory developments in countries where Saab operates and constantly keep Group functions and Business Areas updated and educated on indirect tax. An important task is also to monitor and identify indirect tax risks and implement solutions for mitigating these. You will ensure accurate reporting of indirect taxes, assist with data gathering and analysis in indirect tax audits and internal audits.
You will be the driving force in continuous improvements within the indirect tax area on an operational and strategic level and contribute knowledge to develop Saab's work processes and systems. This includes establishing policies, corporate guidelines and collaborating across all levels within the Saab Group.
Your profile
To be successful and thrive in this role, you are structured and have excellent analytical skills. You also have a confident mindset with excellent complex problem solving and communication skills. The position requires you to be pragmatic and able to translate complex issues into practical operational activities. You need to be highly collaborative as you work closely with both internal colleagues and external partners at all levels of the organization from different parts of the world.
You have a university degree in a relevant area - law, business law and/or finance - as well as deep knowledge and understanding regarding indirect taxes. We believe that you have worked with international indirect taxes at a large accounting firm, or at a multinational group of companies, for several years. Excellent skills in written and verbal communication in both Swedish and English is a requirement. To excel, you have a deep understanding regarding the relation between indirect taxes including customs and transfer pricing, as well as outstanding IT and data processing knowledge.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
You will be part of the Group Tax team at Group Finance, reporting to the Head of Group Tax. Group Tax has the overall responsibility for direct and indirect taxes including customs duties and excise taxes. Group Tax consists of five tax professionals (including Head of Group Tax) and one company administrator. This role is based in Linköping.
