The designers are key in our departments capability to innovate and create attractive design solutions for the future competitiveness of Volvo products and services. In the Gothenburg design studio we are developing products for the four Volvo business areas; Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Bus and Volvo Penta. This is one of the aspects of our talent development philosophy: we wish to provide the opportunity to build product and customer expertise within the team, but also the opportunity to constantly find new inspiration and new challenges across the business areas.
You will work with an exciting line up of trucks, buses, construction equipment, industrial and marine applications with professional and demanding customers in a very dynamic business.
The designers are part of a creative and diverse team of professions and experts, interfacing with teams across the Volvo Group. We are also frequently interacting with our sister studios in France and the US.


Requirements
We expect the designer to be strong and versatile in using professional design tools for visualization, ideation and conceptual 3D modeling.
The designer should have a Bachelor or Master of Fine Arts in Industrial Design, Product Design or Transportation Design.
The designer should be very familiar with a customer centric design process, to reach accurate and user friendly design deliveries for the Volvo brand with outstanding design quality.
Automotive, machinery or business to business industry experience is a merit.
Fluent in English.
